Not everyones cuppa but any event that brings circa $20M into a City over a weekend these days has to be good doesnt it (I just had a coffee with a Batman & Robin plus 2 Osama Bin Ladens sitting across another table from me) !?

Dont underestimate these guys as athletes either - meaning you have to be fit to play this version of the game (nowhere to hide for 14 minutes) & not a cigarette in sight unlike our National Cricket team.

NZ England final with the PNG 'Pukpuks' to surprise for me.

So PP is picking England in the final, and Naly doesn’t expect them to get past their group.

More than just the costumes to follow now.

Some great games to date apart from the goon streaker when the sweaty's were pressing hard vs Oz.

Be an out-of-towner for sure.

I thought everybody in Wellington was an outta towner. Most folks I have known born in wellies left it young.

Can you imagine it...

People dressing up in their skimpy outfits on a typical 12 degree Dunedin February day or 7's goers being allowed to casually walk to a revamped Eden Park through a residential area.

Not    a    chance.

I watched more of this than previous & am now a true convert - what a perfect Olympic Sport 7's will be in 2016.

Will be interesting next weekend to see what Las Vega$ makes of it all too....

Much like previous years PP, I paid no interest in it whatsoever, and I suspect that the local crowd in Vegas will pay even less.

It's a struggle fought in vain to take it seriously when the most important aspect to any member of the crowd is whether or not their wig is on straight.

You're kidding right?

It would clearly be how to get into the pants of that really hot chick two rows down.

I'm not so sure virph - they're no hope if their wig is crooked.

It'll be fascinating to see if the NZRU shifts it to Auckland.

In Wellington it's obviously a huge event, and remember the whole dress-up thing just happened, and grew over the years. No NZRU idea there.

But it'll probably make more money in Akl.

So it's the classic $$ v what the actual fans want.

Will it though LB? It will make more money if they sell out Eden Park, but people in Auckland just don't go to things, and don't seem to make an effort to go to Eden Park except for tests. The location of the stadium is a definite plus for the party atmosphere.

Anyway, if they move it, I'd rather it goes to Dunedin after the uber-smug performance by Banks on the TV news.

Did I mention that he's the biggest c**t in the country?
