A chance to air your thoughts on mediocrity in all facets of sports.

How about this. RS we all know is Sports Radio New Zealand. We also know it has slipped into mediocrity with has been presenters, but their sports callers have generally been pretty good. That is until this seasons cricket matches, especially the One Dayers. I had a vested interest in how CD would go vs the Pink Flamingos, but I was also keeping an eye on Canterbury over the Aces. Yes, I had the websites open and watching regularly, but a few times I flicked RS on to catch the mood at the games from the commentators, and therein the Mediocrity starts.

Kevin Hart and Malcolm Jordan ARE NOT Cricket commentators!!

Half of the RS staff don't even qualify as mediocre. Lose, Veitch, Gunn & Telfart are all disastrously awful.

Although last time I heard it breakfast counted, with D'Arce being good, and Richardson f**king awful. It averaged out to mediocre

Jordan's not too bad, but mainly because he doesn't grate. Fat Daniel McHardy (?sp) is much the same.

Kevin Hart heads off Alan Mac and Rrrrocking Ron in the hotly contested battle for country's worst.

I guess this goes in the Mediocrity category. Who is going to be broadcasting on Sky for the Aussie Matches? The NZ Sky Team, or the Ch 9 team?

NZ Sky for NZ, dunno if the Aussies will send their mob over, they may do.

Apparently Border is doing comments for us.

I suppose this fits in the Mediocrity category.

Pat Lam being interviewed on RNZ Sports News.

Interviewer: "So how's the team coming together?"

Lam: "Yeah good, the boys are moulding together well and we've built up a culture......."

WTF does having a culture in a team have to do with actually building a team to win?

Blues to be wooden spooners this year.

Wooden spooners? In a comp featuring the Highlanders, the Reds, and a few dire Jaapie teams?

They won't "win" the wooden spoon.

But after Friday night, I'm picking they won't be too far off.

Watched a fair bit of the Accenture World Match Play last few days.

Craig Perks - less than mediocre as a Player although fluked the "5th" Major.

Outstanding as a comments man. Seems like a nice bloke and knows his shit. Not stuffy like some of those old old Poms and not all about America like some of the Yanks.

I like it...

Not only that, he was savvy enough to know when to pull the pin without making a total cock of himself by continually stating that he was about to "turn the corner".

Everything I have seen of the guy echoes your thoughts BC.
