NZ Sport has just been launched. It’s a NZ based sports website set up to help clubs and teams throughout New Zealand to get online hassle free, and for free.
NZ Sport will put clubs and teams on the map, as it’s the one-stop-show kiwis can use to find any sports club or team anywhere in NZ.
NZ Sport has: • NO joining fees • NO Hosting costs • Great organising tools • The largest sports club directory in NZ • Nationwide Promotion • Prizes
". They give organisers the opportunity to nominate their children and others"
NZ Sport will be promoted across the web and across loads of radio stations nationwide in the Media Works stable so that every club and team we have in the database will soon be found.
The site also offers other features such as an onsite Nutritionist, Jacquie Dale, who provides great advice on how to keep healthy for training and is there to answer any questions from users.
There is a group txt tool which is great for clubs and teams, updates can go out quickly to members without the need to call everyone, it just requires one click.
If anyone is thinking about trying a new sport, they have a sports gear section, which is a great place to start. It goes through all the gear required to play a variety of different sports, and offers advice on what to look for when buying key items.
They offer a quick and easy way to promote sports events too, with a our sports events calendar and sports events page where you can get information about your event out to the public.
They also want to reward members, so they’ve created a Hall of Fame dedicated to Teams of the Week and Players of the Day. Each week they’ll randomly choose a team from the site and put it on the homepage on nzsport.co.nz as well as in the Hall of Fame. They give organisers the opportunity to nominate their children and others as Players of the Day and give them that extra bit of recognition in our Players of the Day section.
There is heaps more to come as well, as they follow their stated desire to give clubs and teams all the tools they need to be successful in the digital age.
