I’m no fan of NFL, but it does seem pretty odd that it has been singled out as a dangerous sport for head knocks. At least they get helmets, let alone rugby, league, or even something like Aussie Rules or football which can have brutal head knocks.
At the end of the day, any sport that involves contact is dangerous. That is just a reality that athletes need to deal with. Every medical precaution and treatment possible should be given to athletes, especially with concussions, but that is the risk you take to play the sport you love.

Perhaps I am a bit of a sucker for the feel good stories! Cronulla definitely have the talent to do it too. The loss last week will only ground them back down to reality to focus back on how to win. If this game was in Melbourne I would have written off all chances by the Sharks but on a Sunday afternoon at Shark Park – anything is possible!!!

Nice piece Stephen – Lot to like about the Sharkies this year – they provide ongoing hope to all the Paramatta Supporters around the World that things can be turned around pretty quickly in this sport.
