Forever Tuesday Morning.

There have been numerous complaints how this test series against the West Indies started on a Tuesday.
Sure that is possibly unique, and certainly not ideal.
But international cricket schedules with the growing intrusion of T20 franchise leages, and the ICC scheduling main events in January and February means things are not easy.
This West Indian tour was originally going to be a 2 test series, in keeping with the ICC’s way of dealing with test cricket away from the Big Three. But, for the first time sonce 2019 boards worked out that the poor nations deserved a three test series.
However, the window for the tour did not shrink, so the whole series has been a bit squeezes. For example, back to back T20s in Nelson on a Sunday and Monday was hardly ideal, but it gave us a third test; such a rarity at home.
Likewise, the scheduling of the test series is not idea, starting with a test starting on a Tuesday. But there needs to be a three day gap between tests (that’s an international standard) and the West Indian players wanted to be home by Christmas.
There was a lot of chatter on Cricinfo today as if it was news that this was just the worst thing out. Cricinfo comments are worse than talkback or social media. The moderators, dwelled in a South Asian bunker clearly had no idea, but it’s really obvious.
Remember who runs that shower.
So much international scheduling is tough in this BCCI controlled schedule. A couple of battlers have worked together to ensure a three test series. It’s not ideal, but it’s worth celebrating.
