I agree, the traditions that are still held in Test Cricket deem it pretty hard for growth. There is still a firm hand gripping onto tradition even though the game has evolved into the professional era. I hope the game does not suffer too much change.
Do what they like with ODI and 20/20, but leave the original version alone please.
BTW what changes to test cricket have happened over the last 2 decades? rules etc.
