The NRL have just voted to keep things as they are after that very issue came up regarding playing extra time in the regular season.
Personally I think teams should get a point if its tied up after 80 minutes even if they lose in extra time.
As somebody pointed out on RS, if a team is locked up at the end of a thrilling game, then goes down to a drop kick after slaving for an extra 8 or 9 minutes why should they get the same number
