Probably showing my age with the Rangitoto Yank thing; perhaps the Jafa term surpassed it. The key word is Yank; something about tastefulness I guess.
Jafa is used in (national) newspapers and TV a bit. But the point I was trying to make is that since it’s been around for a while now, I thought it had lost the obnoxious side to it, and people forget what the F stands for.
It’s probably more commonly heard in cricket commentaries though, and it’s got a positive connotation there.
It’s also a hugely over-rated sweet.
