About the only part of your post I agree with.
Funny how when the scrum is PROPERLY policed the Australian pack is shown up as utterly inept in that area. For too long the likes of Dunning have been allowed to get away with not binding, taking the scrum down, resting his podgy hand on the ground and coming in on the angle.
You get one referee who actually tries to get the scrum moving by forcing the prop to bring it up again, and all hell breaks loose for them.
