Back in the days of the dinosaur teachers could either punish us by beating the crap out of us or sending us out to run laps, do push-ups etc. They were split about 50/50
History suggest we not only continued to play sport, both at school and after but were a damned sight better behaved than the current generation – except towards the bullying scum who beat pupils for their own thrills (about half of them).
