A couple of other things about last night.
The summary of the Black Ferns achievements was crap. Putting the relevance of women’s rugby to one side, what really pissed me off is the fact that they’ve won 3 World Cups in a row and are unbeaten since 1993 or whatever means absolutely nothing when judging the Team of the year. It’s not a Long Service Award; that went to that golfing skeleton guy.
And I almost choked into my Pinot when I heard C Cairns go on about the importance of teamwork.
