The Aussie NBL is a tough tough league (we already know this).
The league is very fast paced and can be very up tempo (there are games when it is a half court struggle)
Having watched the breakers live both games I am not convinced that they have the squad that can compete with this style.
Mika is a hussel player and will be nothing else in this league, Timmy needs to become a more physical presecne, While Tony may be a great leader his option taking so far has been poor and he looks a step to slow now. I am still not completley convinced on our imports and phil jones. Kirk penny played very welll but will be interesting to see how he goes when teams take away his shot and force him to beat them off the dribble (Austrlia did this very well in periods).
The build up period with your whole squad is not that big a deal. Sydney didnt have there coach most of off season training (with the Boomers) and half of there players are in there squad.
Maybe its time to allow nenard a chance to coach this team (and try get as many tall blacks as possible) so that he is constantly applying his trade and developing his systems/coaching and the players are able to understand what he wants at international level (as opposed to looking lost).
