Points of Interest
During the last gasp victory over the Townsville Crocodiles (just the third one point win by the club in the NBL and the first under coach Andrej Lemanis):
• Phill Jones became the 8th Breaker to score 500 points for the club (36 games at 13.9ppg) and the third quickest behind Carlos Powell and Mike Chappell (who will be playing for the 36ers on Thursday night)
• Mika Vukona passed the 400 points mark, just the third Breaker after Paul Henare and Ben Pepper to achieve the double of 400 points and 400 rebounds
• Rick Rickert recorded his second double-double of the season, with 23 points/15 rebounds…and he is now the leading rebounder in the comp, averaging 12 rebounds per game
• Tony Ronaldson delivered 12 points and an astonishing 9 assists. He is averaging 5.7 assists per game – the 6th best in the league.
Other players featuring in the NBL season stats include:
• Mika Vukona – 5th in field goal percentage with 8 from 12 for 66.7%
• Oscar Forman – 5th in blocked shots category with 1.3pg
• Kirk Penney – 6th in points per game with 23pg, and
• Wayne Turner – 7th in steals per game at 2.0pg.
