Crowe’s test record was superior to Sutcliffe, and at his peak (87-90) was arguably the best batsman in the world; Sutcliffe never reached close to that.
Coutts has skippered more Americas Cup final wins than anyone in history, including Connor. Add in an Olympic gold. There’s a bloody good case to have him in the top 5.
Agree Rufer should be higher (and the description of “1982 World Cup Star” is laughable) but not so sure about Adshead.
There seems to be a lot of “firsts” in this list. Gallagher, Marks (even Hillary) etc.. And they’re just getting silly with Dempster.
