The Mexican Wave is a blight on any sporting event. Whilst I concede that it MAY have its place at halftime (or a break in play etc) anyone that throws anything whilst performing this braindead activity should be hauled out, full stop.
In saying that, trying to ban the Mexican Wave would be akin to herding cats.
