If all Fox can come up with is that it’s got a good surface (and its cricket pitch is sh*t), that shows how desperate the Eden Park lobby is. There’s no reason the new stadium can’t have decent turf; the Wgtn Stadium is built on top of a bridge on top of reclaimed land, and there have never been any issue there.
The proposed stadium is a few kms away from the Viaduct; the Americas Cup red herring actually highlights what an asset that whole area could become.
And a poll run by the openly anti-waterfront Herald is just a gauge how easily led people are.
