Rugby World Cup Quiz: Monday’s Question

By The Spotter

Here we are then, with a 50-buck voucher up for grabs- thanks to Sam @ ‘Gee Quiz’. And I’ve tried to keep my word to him to make it a challenge.

Whoever gets off to a fast start will have a big advantage- there’s only five total questions til Friday. (Rules etc. explained in yesterday’s post).

Post answers in Comments box below, cheers. So get stuck in; you only have until tomorrow! And the best of luck.

QUESTION ONE:

A loose forward from Europe scored a try in a pool match against Scotland in the 1987 World Cup. Sadly, he was to pass away on Christmas Day, 1989, in the midst of a period of great upheaval in his country. His first name was ‘Florica’.

1. Unscramble the letters of his last name (A-U-M-R-U-R-I) and 2. State which chaotic event he became a casualty of.

*Answer and winner for Q1 will be posted tomorrow evening alongside Question Two.

Moderation in comments turned on so people don’t parrot the correct answers
