1It is early December 2014, and the cricketing world in general is in mourning at the sudden passing of Philip Highes. Killed playing the sport he loved.
A tour is put on hold while the Australian team collected their thoughts, rallied around, and paid tributes to the man. Captain Michael Clarke leads the tributes and delivers an emotional eulogy.
The full transcript is here, but it ended with the line “Phillip’s spirit, which is now part of our game forever, will act as a custodian of the sport we all love. We must dig in and get through to tea. And we must play on.”
There has been a four match test series played between now and then, with half of it involving black armbands.

when is this ongoing miniseries going to end ? by carrying on & on they’re only harming Hughe’s memory… Warner definitely has a few kangaroos missing in the top paddock & Clarke has proven again what a tool he is.
