Prediction time: Sportsfreak looks into its Crystal Ball for 2015
2Here at Sportsfreak Towers we’ve got the Crystal Ball out of the cupboard and come up with a few predictions for the upcoming year and here they are in no particular order:
Basketball
NBA – San Antonio Spurs defeat the Washington Wizards in the NBA Finals.
ANBL – The New Zealand Breakers defeat the Perth Wildcats in Three.
College Basketball – Kentucky Wildcats win the Final Four.
NZNBL – Wellington Saints defeat the Nelson Giants (of course).
NFL – The Seattle Seahawks defeat the New England Patriots in Superbowl XLIX (were not sure what number that is).
College Football – Alabama Crimson Tide (National Champions)
NHL – The Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup.
Golf (Majors)
Masters – Eldrick Woods (makes a huge comeback to finally get another Major).
US Open – B(l)ubba Watson
The Open – Lee Westwood
PGA Championship – Rory McIlroy
Tennis (Majors)
Australian Open – Novak Djokovic
French Open – Rafael Nadal
US Open – Noval Djokovic
Wimbledon – Andy Murray beats Federer in 5 sets and a Kitten dies.
Football
EPL – Chelsea
Champions League – Bayern Munich
Europa Cup – Liverpool
Capital One Cup – Tottenham Hotspur

A League – Melbourne Victory (Perth Glory minor premiers)

Aussie Rules – St Kilda defeat Carlton
Rugby
Super Rugby – Crusaders defeat the Queensland Reds in the Super Rugby Final.
Rugby Championship – The Springboks (the All Blacks never win this in a RWC year).
Rugby World Cup – England defeat the Springboks in the final (here first).
ITM Cup
Premiership – Tasman go one more step.
Championship – Hawkes Bay.
World Sevens Series Champs – South Africa (aka Blitzbokke)
Netball (ANZ Championship) – Mojo Pulse.

If Wgtn Lions can’t manage to win the Championship next season with mostly a fully fit squad next year it would even be more of a shocker than this year.
The WRFU Board are coming across as a farce… the chairman Laban who has a background in rugby league clearly played a big part in selecting his mate Earl Va’a as Wgtn coach, looks as though Russel should of got the job.

You forgot the netball world cup, which Australia will win easily, possibly from England in the final..
Speaking of which, Pulse should make the finals series given the new conference setup, but no way will they be in the final to beat the Swifts.
