Swinehound Sports Quiz #12
6By The Spotter
Feel like racking the brain? Have a go at the Swinehound Sports Quiz, edition 12. All Qs carefully prepared- it does take a while nowadays to dig into my 50 year-old brain, so at least humour me by having a shot.
Current shield holder is Ryan Nixon- the only player in the quiz’s history to defend their title. Two more defences and he’ll win himself a book. Do your best to stop him for me, would you? lol!
Don’t cheat (what’s the blimin’ point?) Submit your answers via the site’s Comments forum; the responses will be saved and posted below the quiz once the roughly 36 hour time limit is up. Tweeting your answers isn’t good- you’ll ruin things because we’ll all take note of them (or not!)
Good luck..

- ‘The Little Bird’ crosses to the centre to Edson Arantes do Nascimento, who, of course, scores. Which two players would have been involved?
- How many players does a team begin with on the field in a game of AFL/Aussie Rules?
- Who holds the NZ men’s test cricket record for best single innings bowling figures on debut?
- Criminally, the White Ferns last played test cricket in: a) 1996 b) 2004 c) 2008 d) 2010
- Hugh Jackman once chose this comparatively smallish-in-stature Rugby Union forward as his all-time sports hero; mainly for the reason that the player seemed to finish a lot of his test matches covered in blood. Who is it?
- Bonus Q (non sport-related): NZ icon Fred Dagg had seven sons all called……………..
Tweet me @pm_spotter (It’s a bloody miracle- finally posted a reply tweet (aside from DMs) the other day; only took 2 and a half years since first registered. Can hear you laughing from here 😊)
